“Don’t let abuse be your child’s story: Make a change. End child abuse”

The Child Development Division within the Ministry of National Mobilisation, etc. will be observing the annual Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month from April 1 – 30, 2024. This is in keeping with St. Vincent and the Grenadines' commitment to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. The theme chosen for this year is “ Don’t let abuse be your child’s story: Make a change. End child abuse ” with a focus on child neglect and abandonment. This theme addresses our goals of informing parents of their tremendous power to prevent child abuse; to educate and increase awareness in homes, schools, and communities as we use positive promotional activities geared towards strengthening families and fostering a network between the Ministry, the Police and Communities. As part of the month’s activities, churches are invited to commemorate “ Blue Sundays .” This is an annual event where churches of all faiths are asked to pray for the victims of child abuse and to demonstrate

It's Time To Rebuild

Image
It's time to rebuild is the theme from a Women's Ministries Convention held on October, 2022.  Below is an exhortation / encouragement to all women and any individual who come across this post. I pray that the eyes of your heart will be opened to understand these words and follow through with whatever the Spirit of the LORD will say unto you.  Nehemiah 2:17 This theme is extraordinary in that it is given at such a time as this when our lives, family, nation and communities are at crossroads while some are either at a standstill or going on a steady decline. In order for a rebuilding to take place there must have been a destruction, a disaster, catastrophe or any other peril so grave that removed or overturned the good and proper systems of existence. Not much is being said about the roles that we need to play or the responsibilities that we need to take in order to save our world. Some persons have already concluded that our world does not need saving, their solution instead i

Joy Unspeakable and Full of Glory

This beautiful Hymn is one of my favourite hymns. It was written and arranged musically by B.E. Warren in the 20th Century. This hymn is about our Christian life and for those who know the lyrics may this song bring joy to your hearts and spirit as you sing and enjoy the presence of the Lord in worship.  1. I have found His grace is all complete, He supplieth every need; While I sit and learn at Jesus' feet, I am free, yes free indeed. 2. I have found the pleasure I once craved, It is joy and peace within; What a wondrous blessing I am saved from the awful gulf of sin . Chorus: It is joy unspeakable and full of glory, full of glory, full of glory; It is joy unspeakable and full of glory, Oh the half has never yet been told. 3. I have found that hope so bright and clear, living in the realm of grace; Oh the Saviour's presence is so near, I can see His smiling face. 4.  I have found the joy no tongue can tell, How its waves of glory roll! It is like a great o'er flowing well,

Do You Know The Power of the Blood of Jesus?

SONG:- There is Power in the Blood (Hymn)  1. Would you be free from the burden of sin? There's pow'r in the blood, pow'r in the blood; Would you o'er evil a victory win? There's wonderful pow'r in the blood.  Chorus: There is pow'r, pow'r, wonder-working pow'r in the blood of the lamb; There is pow'r, pow'r wonder-working pow'r in the precious blood of the lamb.  2. Would you be free from your passion and pride? There's pow'r in the blood, pow'r in the blood; Come for a cleansing to Calvary's tide; There's wonderful pow'r in the blood.  3. Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow? There's pow'r in the blood, pow'r in the blood; Sin stains are lost in its life giving flow; There's wonderful pow'r in the blood.  4. Would you do service for Jesus your King? There's pow'r in the blood, pow'r in the blood; Would you live daily His praises to sing? There's wonderful pow'r i

1st day of the Week in Worship

Heavenly Father, hallowed be Your name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Help us on this day to come into Your presence with thanksgiving and to join other fellow believers in hymns of praise and adoration. As we kneel before You our Maker, give us joy in worship and help us to declare before all the people that You are the mighty and forgiving God. Help us to give You all the glory and all the honor that is due to Your most Holy name. We pray God that You will accept the offerings of our hands and use our gifts in the service of our congregation and of Your church everywhere.  Fill our Pastors and Church leaders with a rich measure of Your grace. Help them to speak Your word courageously and convincingly, so that the hearts of the hearers may be drawn closer to You. Help Your servants to speak with power as You send Your Holy Spirit into the hearts of people everywhere so that men will hear and believe. We pray that every heart that hears Your spoken Wor
