“Don’t let abuse be your child’s story: Make a change. End child abuse”

The Child Development Division within the Ministry of National Mobilisation, etc. will be observing the annual Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month from April 1 – 30, 2024. This is in keeping with St. Vincent and the Grenadines' commitment to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. The theme chosen for this year is “ Don’t let abuse be your child’s story: Make a change. End child abuse ” with a focus on child neglect and abandonment. This theme addresses our goals of informing parents of their tremendous power to prevent child abuse; to educate and increase awareness in homes, schools, and communities as we use positive promotional activities geared towards strengthening families and fostering a network between the Ministry, the Police and Communities. As part of the month’s activities, churches are invited to commemorate “ Blue Sundays .” This is an annual event where churches of all faiths are asked to pray for the victims of child abuse and to demonstrate

The Reasoning of a Stray Mind

"Come therefore and let us enjoy the good things that are now; And let us use the creation with all our soul as youth's possession.  Let us fill ourselves with costly wine and perfumes: And let no flower of spring pass us by:  Let us crown ourselves with rosebuds, before they be withered:  Let none of us go without his share in our proud revelry: Everywhere let us leave tokens of our mirth: Because this is our portion and our lot is this. Let us oppress the righteous poor; Let us not spare the widow, nor reverence the hairs of the old man gray for length of years.  But let our strength be to us as a law of righteousness; For that which is weak is found to be of no service. But let us lie in wait for the righteous man, Because he is of disservice to us. And is contrary to our works. And upbraids us with sins against the law, And lays to our charge sins against our discipline.  He professes to have knowledge of God. And names himself servant of the Lord.  And names himself serv

It's a secret

Matthew 6:6 Amplified: 6: But when you pray, go into your most private room, close the door and pray to your Father who is in secret and your Father who sees [what is done] in secret will reward you. Revised Standard Version (RSV-CI): 6: But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.  Amplified, Classic Edition: 6: But when you pray, go into your [most] private room and closing the door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you in the open. GOD'S WORD Translation: 6: When you pray, go to your room and close the door. Pray privately to your Father who is with you. Your Father sees what you do in private. He will reward you. Its no secret that we humans love to keep secrets as much as we love to expose a secret. However, most times when a secret gets exposed its when friendship, love relationships and family

Hebrews 12:2

Verse of the day 2: [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity]. who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of work]. - Hebrews 12:2 (Amplified) It is our duty to focus our eyes on Jesus. We can attest that such a feat can sometimes prove difficult for many of us, even for the most persistent of them all. That is why we should be grateful for this reminder from the writer of this verse in the Book of Hebrews. It serves as a reminder to do the thing which so many of us struggle with from time to time. And we all know what reminders can do for us, they serve a purpose in rekindling a fresh desire and zeal to continue in perseverance to reach for our goal in Ch
